Surtown Snowkite Workshop
21.01.2018 Stroomi Beach or Harku Lake – depending on the weather conditions -will be announced few days before the workshop
The aim of this workshop is to give you all the important knowledge, to get around safe on the snow.
Snowkite workshop is meant for those, who have done the beginner course at the sea already or can ride, but would like to refresh their knowledge and learn new things and tricks to kite on the snow.
The instructors of the workshop Surftown experienced international IKO licenced instructors. Workshop is in english and estonian.
Schedule:
13:00 Gathering and getting to know each other
13:10 Theory – wind direction and speed, spot assessment, safety, safety systems, setting up the gear, different setting options on the kite, self rescue on snow
14:30 Coffee and tea break
15:00 Self launch and relaunch techniques on snow, start theory and common mistakes, riding, stopping, changing direction, riding upwind theory and demo, right of way rules
15:30 Practise time*
*Practise with your own equipment. Who does not own the equipment, can rent it from us, necessary to have the level for rental (IKO Level 2H). Rental Price 25 eur/h
